Robert Rionda — Interior Designer

“Only acquire art that you absolutely love. If you overthink the investment, you’ll get lost in the shuffle.

Robert Rionda - Interior Designer

Robert travels the world with his clients and on their behalf, acquiring just the right furnishings, finishes, and works of art for each installation. A true aesthete, he loves to learn about the creative process of artists and artisans, appreciating so deeply their methods and motivations. Art plays a key role in all of his interiors. Helping experienced collectors complement their collections has its joys, yet Robert finds that there is something magical about working with younger patrons who haven’t a clue where to begin. He exposes them to as many artists, genres, and mediums as he can, instructing them to simply react to what they see and leave the details of scale, color, and placement analysis to him. “Don’t worry about making mistakes,” he always advises. “Don’t worry about liking something that might not work in this house. Be open. Be confident. Communicate everything. I can make sense of it.” When homeowners truly give themselves to the creative process and embark on a journey of self-discovery, they often end up with a different home than they expected, in a good way.
